Cartoon characters and pop culture icons likely play a role at some point or another in some of your fondest childhood memories – but not these ones. These are the work of Australian digital artist Wil Hughes and they’re the stuff nightmares are made of.
Hughes studies animation at Griffith University in Brisbane and when he isn’t busy studying he’s putting his talent to good use by imagining what pop culture icons would look like if they were real, often with nightmarish results.
