Because Halloween only rolls around once a year many like to celebrate and while some create wacky looking costumes most settle for carving a pumpkin in the hope that it will be more impressive that their neighbours. If you’ve ever carved a pumpkin then you’ll fully appreciate just how long it can take – making this short stop-motion animation even more impressive.
Titled “Oh My Gourd” the almost two-minute-long video filmed at 12 frames per second would in theory require more than 1400 unique carvings!. That’s enough pumpkin carvings to last a lifetime. They could of course re-use some of the pumpkin designs but that doesn’t make the video any less impressive.
