Transforming boring building facades into vibrant kaleidoscopic murals is all in a days work for Miami-based artist Douglas Hoekzema who also goes by the name of Hoxxoh. Layering different colours of continuos rings on top of each other that artist is able to create a portal-like mural that appears to lead to another dimension.
Hoekzema has been drawing ever since he was a teenager and is inspired by the idea of altering his audiences perception of time, believing that rather than trying to control time we should let it and its predetermined course take control. Whether or not you get this notion from Hoekzema’s work it’s hard to deny that if this is the result of letting time take control then it’s rather beautiful.
