Russian Beach Once Used as Dumping Ground for Glass Now Has Beautiful Glass Pebbles

Located in Vladivostok, Russia, Ussuri Bay was once used as a dumping ground for old glass bottles and porcelain during the Soviet-era however it would appear mans own terrible pollution in the area has been corrected by the power of mother nature after years and years of waves slowly wearing down the tiny fragments of glass into beautiful rounded pebbles.

The beach that’s now become a protected area was once a no-go zone for tourists and locals thanks to sharp shards of glass left from broken champagne and vodka bottles, however the waves of the North Pacific have slowly worn them down into smooth and rounded pebbles that are a beautiful array of colours.

Now the bay which is being called “Glass Beach” is a popular attraction for tourists and it’s pretty easy to see why. Check it out below in the stunning photos you see below.
