It’s easy to get lost in all of the excitement surrounding the World Cup, but when you think more about Brazil and the people that live there it is easy to see why they are upset.
Brazilians are angry because the government has poured millions upon millions of dollars into the funding of just one eight-week football tournament. When you consider how those millions could have had a positive impact on education, hospitals, policing and eradicating poverty, its no wonder that many see the World Cup as a waste of money. In protest to this, people have taken to the streets and created these powerful murals to try and get their voices and opinions heard.
