After the tragic passing of a teenage boy in India, his loyal and loving dog refused to leave his grave for 2 weeks. His owner, Bhaskar Shri, was a construction worker who was killed in a car accident in august.
In an incredible show of loyalty and love, Tommy the dog went 15 days without food or water, braving the hot days and cold nights whilst he guarded the burial site of his 18-year-old master. Shri adopted Tommy when he was a pup and the two of them grew up to be inseparable.
Now that Tommy has lost his master he will be looked after by Bhaskar’s mother. The two of them can grieve together and slowly come to terms with their loss. Dogs can be great companions in times of emotional hardship.
