For years, not just artists, but us as a race have been intrigued by the human body and what it should and shouldn't look like. In a new photo series called Rek ("Stretch" in Dutch) by Juuke Schoorl, she creates a new, interesting take on what the human body can look like after a few minor alterations, there is no Photoshop here, every alteration is performed with tangible implements, i.e tape, string etc.
The photo series also aims to make us realise the aesthetic possibilities of the human skin by highlighting its flexibility and adaptability. For more of Juuke's work, check out her site.
