Zeus might be blind, but that doesn’t stop this adorable Western screech owl from amazing people with his galaxy like eyes that appear to glitter with stars. Zeus was rescued after he was found on the doorstep of someones house, it was thought that he flew into the house and injured himself because he couldn’t see where he was going.
After taking a visit to the vets Zeus was taken to the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar, California to be cared for. This is where he got his name after the Greek god of thunder because of his incredible gold-flecked starry eyes.
Zeus will never be released back into the wild because he is blind, but he seems happy enough to live a peaceful life alongside the Wildlife Learning Center founder Paul Hahn, helping to educate the public on wild animals.
