NASA Release New HD Photographs of the Iconic ‘Pillars of Creation’

NASA has revisited one of its most iconic photos of all time to capture new HD images of the ‘Pillars of Creation’ which was originally photographed back in 1955 using the ESA Hubble Space Telescope. Thanks to various equipment upgrades over the years to the Hubble telescope including a new camera this new image lets us see the structure of the Eagle Nebula Pillars clearer than ever and also shows signs of new stars being born.

The Eagle Nebula is about 6,500 light years from earth and it’s the first photo take of the structure by NASA in 20 years.
