Whats lurking in these photographs is truly terrifying, but at first glance you would never be able to spot it. This photo series is by photographer Simon Menner and is titled Camouflage and seems like an average landscape photography series, that is until you realise that their is a highly skilled hidden sniper in photo.
The snipers ability to blend into trees, undergrowth and rocks really is incredible. Check out the images below. The sniper is incredibly hard to spot, so much so that some have crticised the photos and said that there isn't actually a sniper in them.
The photographer reassures everyone - "Whoever has doubts about that should contact the German Army. There were snipers present in every single shot and they were in fact, ordered to aim at the camera, so they could see me, even though I was almost never able to see them. The professional training they have received means that in some of the images, no trace of them can be seen, even if you look at the image pixel by pixel. This is exactly how a sniper in a forest is supposed to appear."
