In a rather strange and totally unexpected discovery furniture designer Nathan Chandler bought a home that hadn't been changed since 1956, right down to the old washing and cleaning products found in the kitchen cupboard - not one thing had been changed in almost 60 years. The house was a perfect example of mid-century American interior design complete with retro furniture.
It's not known why the previous owners kept the house sealed for so long, but we are really glad they did. It's like stepping back in time or going to a museum. The fate of the kitchen is unknown but it almost seems like a shame to strip it out and fit a new one. At least it's forever preserved in the photos below.
