Whilst exploring the shores around St. Joseph, Michigan, photographer Joshua Nowicki came across a truly amazing phenomenon. He found dozens of small sand sculptures that look like they are from another planet. They had formed from frozen sand being sculpted in the wind.
Nowicki returned the next day to take more photos of this strange occurrence however the presence of the sun had melted them away. Check out more of the photographers work here.
