Tokyo Cityscapes Photographed with Colourful Bokeh by Takashi Kitajima

Takashi Kitajima

Takashi Kitajima is a software engineer working in the city of Tokyo during the day, but after work is when he gets to explore his true passion, photographing the cities dazzling and colourful lights with stunning bokeh.

Bokeh is a term used in photography to describe the aesthetic quality of blur in the out of focus parts of a photograph. The blur is normally created using a DSLR camera and a manual focus on the lens. As you can see, Kitajima is certainly a master of this technique as he transforms high-rise buildings and city streets into a dazzling world of light and colour.

Make sure you check out more of Kitajima’s work over on 500px and Flickr.
