Street Artists in Mexico Paint over 200 Houses to Bring Community Together

A youth organisation that is known for its use of graffiti was asked by the Mexican government to rejuvenate a town called Palmitas located in the Pachuca district. Under the alias “Germen Crew” the group painted 209 houses into one single rainbow mural and the result is incredible. In total they painted over twenty-thousand square meters of building in order to create the overall rainbow mural.

The coolest part however is not the finished article but the process and the positive impact that it has had on the community. In total 452 families and 1808 people were affected or involved in some way by the project. By making community involvement essential throughout the project they have managed to completely eradicate violence amongst youths and bring everyone together. For more information visit planisferio.com, Facebook and Twitter.
