After first visiting the blue salt flats of Australia award winning photographer Simon Butterworth felt inspired to re-visit but this time, he took to the sky. The photos are part of a series titled Blue Fields and made it to the shortlist of Sony’s 2015 World Photographic Awards.
They offer a unique and otherworldly look at the salt flats which when viewed from above almost look like abstract works of art. You can see more of Butterworth’s photographs on his website.
