It’s a story that everyone is familiar with, a friend gets into a relationship and suddenly they’re never to be seen again, such is the case for 20-year-old Keiran Cable from South Wales who after meeting his girlfriend, 19-year-old Jess Ferguson, completely disappeared from his friends lives. After 18 months or hardly seeing him Cable’s friends decided they needed to mourn for their loss and put together a fake funeral complete with a coffin!
They even put a eulogy together which reads “Keiran has had a tough 18 months trying to keep his friendship with his friends alive but sadly the wait is now over and he has floated up to the gates of heaven.”
Kieran has been in a relationship for 18 months and during that time he has barely seen his friends, “it felt like he had died because none of us had seen him since then,” a friend said.

A couple of weeks ago whilst at the pub one of them remarked “RIP Kerian.”

It was at this moment they had an idea. They decided that if Kieran was no longer going to come out with them then they should mourn their loss with a fake funeral.

One of the boys, Shaun Bundy, did the most organising, even putting together a makeshift coffin.

Kieran had no idea what was going on. He thought he was coming out to watch the rugby but ended up in a coffin.

They borrowed a funeral car and drove the coffin from pub to pub.

Another one of his friends, Daniel Bundock, dressed as a vicar and gave speeches from the old testament.

How did cable react? “I was in complete shock and didn’t know what to do or say.”
