In a recent high school experiment 18-year-old student Shea Glover from Chicago carried out a beautifully simple yet incredibly powerful social experiment, she told people they are beautiful. She then filmed their reactions to this unexpected compliment and the result is the touching video you see below.
It’s not every day that a stranger or someone who isn’t that close to you tells you that you’re beautiful. “I conducted an independent project which evidently turned into a social experiment regarding beauty. I want to clarify that my intentions were not to get a reaction out of people. I was simply filming beauty and this is the result,” Glover writes on YouTube.
