Beautiful Photos of Hong Kong Capture the City Moments Before Nightfall

You could argue that the most beautiful time of every day is either sunrise or sunset, but when you’re living in a built up city as densely populated as Hong Kong photographing a sunrise or sunset is easier said than done which is why French fine-art photographer Romain Jacquet-lagrèze chooses to point his camera towards the cities sea of sprawling buildings and skyscrapers instead.

Inspired by the blue haze that often falls on the city during Dusk Romain wanted to capture the moment it reflects off of the cities concrete and glass buildings creating an almost mystical blue tinted atmosphere. Also inspired by the way in which Hong Kong’s dense urban jungle joins on to trees and natural habitats that surround it at every corner Romain also tries to capture this contrast through his photos.

From these photos it’s not hard to see why Romain has fallen in love with the city. You can see more of his work on Instagram and Facebook as well as his website.
