How Many People Can Earth Actually Cope With?

YouTube

Just like the fossil fuels we rely on to get us through our daily lives, actual physical space on our planet is also a finite resource and with some estimating that earths population could reach 10 billion by the end of the century this raises the question, just how many people can earth cope with?.

Given that there’s a limited amount of land on earth, there has to be some sort of maximum number of people the earth can physical hold before we are quite literally all living on top of each other. This cool video highlights some of the problems we’re likely to encounter as we head towards that 10 billion figure.

When you consider that we already use more land than the whole of Africa to raise livestock now, when the world does reach 10,000,000,000 people it’s going to look very different.
