Founded in 1984 the Make Up For Ever Academy has become a well known name in the makeup industry and recently hosted a contest that invited students to re-interpret the work of Murakami, a contemporary Japanese writer. Inspired by the authors work the students adopted his style of surrealism, magic and fantasy perfectly, transforming their subjects into some of the most surreal face paint works of art you’ve ever seen.
Each of them an artwork in their own right photographer Clovis Lalanne was on hand to catch these incredible photos of them.
