The work of self-taught artist Mike Dargas is nothing short of amazing thanks to his hyper-realistic approach to the portraits he creates. The German artist was encourage by his mother from a young age to continue to draw after she realised early on that he had a talent for drawing which later developed into oil painting.
Ever since then Dargas has spent years perfecting his technique to the point that his oil painting portraits achieve a level of realism so convincing you could quite easily convince yourself that the work you’re seeing is in fact a photograph.
