For 15 years 30-year-old Gordon Delacroix and his dog Birdy had been the very best of friends but sadly Birdy was recently diagnosed with cancer.
It’s news that no dog owner would ever want to hear, as anyone who’s been lucky enough to have a loving dog in their lives will know, they grow to become another member of the family.
Because Birdy’s future is uncertain and his health could deteriorate at any moment Delacroix decided to recreate a photo that he had previously taken outside his grandmother’s house at 15 and 25.
“It breaks my heart just to think about it, but we’ve had so many great years and adventures together. I’m grateful he was part of my life.”
