Hidden Inside Each of These Mugs Is an Incredible Latte Artwork

Working in a coffee shop the chance to get creative with hot drinks is normally limited to either a rosetta or a heart but after San Francisco based artist Melaquino spotted her friend drawings bears and frogs in hot chocolate she felt inspired to do the same and whilst her first attempts at latte art were hardly anything to shout about, 4 years later they really are amazing.

Perfecting her craft over the years she now understands exactly what goes into creating latte art, using the perfect blend of espresso and microfoam in order to create the contrast in the artworks and bring out their tiny details. Using a spoon to manipulate the foam into whatever she wants to draw Melaquino is able to draw anything from adorable kittens to popular characters such as BB-8, the loveable droid from the latest Star Wars movie.

Only taking about 3-5 minutes to create you can rest assured that customers aren’t left waiting long for their coffee’s and when they finally get them their faces are priceless. You can see more of the artists work on Instagram and Facebook.
