Located on the small Hawaiian island of Lanai is every cat lovers dream, a sanctuary that’s home to nearly 500 freely roaming cats. The Lanai Cat Sanctuary provides shelter, food, healthcare and the possibility of adoption for the cats that roam the island freely and at 25,000 square-foot they’ve certainly got a lot of roaming to do!
Doted around the place you’ll find feline friendly features such as cubicles for cats to sleep in, “pallet palaces” for them to play and hide as well as large irrigation pipes for playing in. The feline paradise is actually open to the public on a daily basis and welcomes visitors from all over the world.
