Although Russian nature photographer Vadim Trunov is no stranger to getting up close to squirrels in the wild his latest photo shoot is quite easily his best yet as this time the squirrels decided to take over, jumping behind the camera as if they were photographing each other and playing in the snow.
Looking like they’re having an epic snowball battle the truth behind the photos is sadly a little different – during the winter the squirrels get really hungry and where there’s food you can guarantee that there will be competition as to who keeps it.
