There’s no doubt that songs often have hidden meanings and messages to them, but for artist and cartoonist Hugleikur Dagsson (also known as “artoonist”), those messages are less hidden and more literal as he takes the songs lyrics and turns them into minimal comics with an often dark and humouruous twist.
Sticking to his witty comedic style Dagsson’s take on some of the world’s most iconic songs isn’t for everyone, but if you’re a fan then there’s a chance that you’ll be laughing at his interpretation of Bing Crosby’s “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” or Police’s “Every breath you take”.
