Spectacular Glow-In-The-Dark Street Murals Reveal Hidden Meanings When the Lights Go Out

Reskate Arts & Crafts

Murals that brighten building facades and transform otherwise bland structures are always something to be marvelled at, but these murals by Spanish graphic arts studio Reskate Arts & Crafts have a rather unique twist to them that makes them even more captivating, they glow in the dark.

Using luminescent paint that can glow for up to 12 hours after exposure to light, when the sun goes down the glow-in-the-dark murals take on and entirely new appearance. Most of the art studios work has appeared on the streets of Zaragoza, Spain, however most recently they visited Romania to create a piece called Unawareness (pictured above) that transforms from a planet into a diving helmet – an historic reference to the shift from deep sea exploration to a focus on the space race between the US and the USSR.

Proving that not only is there more to these murals than first meets the eye they also invite the viewer to look deeper into the message they are trying to convey. You can see more of the art studios work on their website as well as FacebookInstagram and Behance.
