Thanks to its autopilot feature that assists drivers a Tesla just managed to avoid a serious accident on a highway in the Netherlands. The dashcam footage shows the Tesla travelling down the A2 highway when the cars autopilot feature kicks in and takes over, triggering an alarm and activating the emergency braking system to avoid the collision up ahead that’s just about to occur.
The accident occurred after the car in front of the Tesla failed to brake in time when the car in front of it slowed down however despite the dramatic aftermath Hans Noordsij, who shared the video on Twitter, says that nobody was seriously injured. The Tesla brakes moments before the incident thanks to the radar it uses to scan both of the cars in front.
