Korean Artist Turns People’s Pets into Quirky Cartoon-Inspired Tattoos

Ink tattoos are a permanent statement that often depict what’s closest to our heart so it comes as no surprise that people choose to get their pets tattooed on their skin but when people visit South Korean tattoo artist Jiran who’s often asked by clients to turn their beloved pets into artwork they’re also wanting him to do so in his unique and quirky cartoon-style.

Many of Jiran’s artworks feature bold black lines with a fairly muted colour palette but its his imaginative and playful approach to his subjects that really bring them to life and allow the pets characteristics and charm to shine through. Although he specialises in pet tattoos it’s not just pet lovers that love his artwork as his work is also appreciated by nearly 90k followers on Instagram, many of which follow him simply because of his unique style.

Even cooler still is that Jiran places his artworks alongside photos of the subject they depict, allowing us to appreciate just how well he captures each of their personalities. You can see more over on Instagram.
