At the very heart of every Disney movie is a fairytale fantasy in which good beats evil and everyone lives happily ever after. Sadly however the real world doesn’t work that way and although you could argue that Disney’s movies often have about important social issues, such as Zootopia, for the most part they’re remember as happy childhood memories and rightfully so.
But have you ever wondered what Disney would be like if it were a little closer to reality? UK-based graphic designer and artist Tom Ward asked himself this and came up with a series of illustrations that reimagine what Disney would be like in 2017, making a point of important social issues through his series that he’s titled “Alt Disney.”
