As of 2017 Singapore is one of the most innovative countries in the world. Ranked 7th behind Denmark the country has repeatedly been named the most innovative in Asia. Clearly not afraid to push boundaries and try new things they’ve recently been trying out glow in the dark paths in the hope that they’ll improve visibility and safety at night.
Currently on trial at a 400m track situated between the Choa Chu Kang Road and Upper Bukit Timah Road the public are being invite to come along and try out the track which is currently made up of a variety of different materials, from fine gravel to earth-coloured porous concrete – all of which contain green strontium aluminate minerals which give path there magical looking glow at night.
