A Team of 100 Artists Were Asked to Paint a School and This Is What Happened

Whether you loved school or hated it there’s one thing that we can all agree on, schools are often bland and uninspiring places to be in thanks to their safe and muted colour scheme – a real contradiction to the creativity and ambition they’re supposed to inspire.

So to tackle this issue a group of artists from Paris were recently given free reign over a university dormitory in Paris as a celebration of art and creativity, the results of which are impressive to say the least.

Over the course of three weeks artists set about transforming the student dormitory at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris as part of Rehab 2, an urban festival that ran rom the 16 June to the 16 July.

The artists were allowed to get as creative as they like before the space was opened to the public for a limited time only, after which time the dormitory will be renovated and the artwork erased. Fortunately photographer Jonk Photography was on hand to capture all of the artworks before they disappear forever.
