Although Barack and Michelle Obama have long left the White House they arguably remain America’s most popular First Couple. During Obama’s 8 years in office the White House photographer Pete Souza was on hand to capture it all, often photographing intimate moments between the couple that have gone on to become iconic.
Inspired by these photographs couple Cassi and Adam called on self-described “wedding storyteller” and photographer Natasha Herbert to reenact some of their most famous photographs with amazing results.
From the costumes to the settings Herbert strived to recreate the photos right down to the smallest of details. At first the couple had only wanted to recreate one of the famous photos however after seeing the results of the first photo went onto recreate another two.
