Australia Uses Trivia Road Signs to Keep Drivers Alert on Long Boring Journeys

Whilst we may have our highways that stretch for hundreds of miles there are few places in the world other than Australia where you’ll find normal roads that stretch for up to 90 miles often without a single turn. Driving for such a long time on a straight stretch of road can be incredibly boring, so much so that drivers can fatigue and their concentration can lapse.

In order to combat this the Australian government has come up with a rather genius idea. Trivia signs that are spaced out along long stretches of road that first ask a question and later tell you the answer, turning driving straight into a game that will keep you guessing until the next question. A simple idea in principle the trivia signs should help to some extent, but would they work for you? Let us know in the comments.
