2018 is coming to an end; another year, another story with twists and turns, disasters and miracles, humanity making 2 steps forward, 1 step back like it’s always done. It’s part of us, right? Mauro Gatti, an Italian illustrator and designer living in LA, have thought of something nice to warm our 2018 as it is nearing its end: a list of illustrations that picture some of the best news of 2018.
He wanted to create “something positive as an anti-venom to the vitriolic rhetoric that pervades our media”, something that will bring happiness and positivity back in our hearts. What better way to enter 2019 than this? These illustrations will help us treasure our art, technology, food, science or animal rights more than before. We’re making progress, we’re not evil, we’re not fools; it only happens that sometimes we make mistakes, but all in all, the future is ours, right?
