This is night painted as a human being roaming around in the countryside

For illustrator and artist David Alvarez, black and white, shadow and light are the perfect paint brushes that can paint what it’s lingering in his mind. It doesn’t have to be spooky, it just has to be evocative of the story that his imagination creates.

His new series of black and white illustrations is called “I Dreamed I Was the Night” and it depicts the silent adventures of a dark figure which roams around the countryside dressed in the black veil of night. Not only that he is wearing that special night cloak, he also has twinkling stars and a bright moon at his command.

These images are currently part of an online catalog, but the artist has plans of making them into a story
