Quadruple Amputee Dog Is Happier than Ever Thanks to His Prosthetic Paws

This is Brutus the adorable Rottweiler who has recently been given a new lease of life thanks to four new prosthetic limbs. Brutus is a quadruple amputee that lost his legs at just 1.5-years-old after being left outside in the freezing cold, losing his paws to frostbite. His breeder took it upon themselves to remove Brutus’s paws himself which left Brutus in a lot of pain and unable to walk.

Brutus was rescued from the breeder by a Colorado based rescue group who then cared for him and began to look for a permanent home for him. Luckily for Brutus he found a loving new home and an owner who was determined to help him have a better life. His owner crowdfunded enough money to get Brutus a new set of prosthetic paws from OrthoPets.

Since working with OrthoPets and the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University, Brutus has come a long way with his new paws and now he couldn’t be happier!
