There may not be any set rules when it comes to dating, but traditionally a trip to the cinema, a meal at a restaurant or perhaps even just meeting for a drink could be considered a ‘date’, yet amateur photographer Simon Trnka and his girlfriend Mishel have found a way of breaking that rule (if it even exists) with their extreme version of dating, in the snowy mountains of Slovakia where temperatures can reach as low as -20.
Coldness aside it’s not hard to see why the couple choose to ditch the cinema in favour of a view of the Milky Way instead, spending nearly every weekend this winter snuggled up beneath the stars at night in their sleeping bags. There’s something to be said about Trnka’s photography too, as he manages to capture their weekend adventures together in some truly breathtaking photos, more of which you can see here.
Sleeping in the snowy mountains of Slovakia might not be for everyone, but Simon and Mishel’s unique take on dating just goes to show that life’s all about being adventurous and making time for what you love the most.
