Using his incredible eye for detail Japanese artist Mr. Rui hand-cuts these impressive paper artworks using a craft knife which normally take the form of intricate mandalas and zentagle patterns, a method used to create abstract shapes and formations.
Hypnotising as they are to look at we can’t help but wonder how much patience and skill it requires in order to create such artworks from a single piece of paper as one tiny error could spell disaster – once a cut is made there’s no going back.
