Back in October 2015 The Monster Project was launched in the hope of inspiring children and their creativity. The initiative involves around 100 different artists who all have the same goal – “to help children recognise the power of their own imaginations and to encourage them to pursue their creative potential.”
Understanding how important it is for children to realise their own creative potential, the children are encouraged draw weird and wonderful monsters and the artists involved reinterpret their creations into professionally illustrated cartoons and characters – often the stranger the monster the better!
The end result is not only hugely positive for the kids involved, the artists reinterpretations are pretty amazing to look at to. You can learn more about The Monster Project based in Texas by heading over to its about page.
