Banksy’s New Hotel in Bethlehem Promises Guests ‘The Worst View in the World”

Political statements and controversy have long been a source of inspiration for elusive street artist Banksy and his latest installation situated next to the famous cement barrier that separates Israel and Palestine is certainly no exception. The “Walled Off Hotel” is located on 182 Caritas Street in Bethlehem, Palestine and is filled with artwork by the artist himself as well as the work of some of Palestine’s most recognisable and notable artists in the past twenty years.

Since his hit attraction Dismaland back in 2015 it would seem that for the past 14 months Banksy’s full attention has been on creating the Walled Off Hotel with the help of a team of assistants, retrofitting an existing hotel and transforming its rooms into a liveable art gallery.

Not only is the installation and interesting collection of art from Banksy, Sami Musa, Dominique Petrin and more, it also serves as a fully functioning hotel that promises guests “the world’s worst view.” If that sounds appealing then you may just be in luck as the hotel will be taking reservations as of March 11 2017 with a view to open on the 20th and continue running until the end of the year. You can find out more on Banksy’s website.
