Although everyone’s taste differs, generally speaking a shoe is simply a shoe and providing they look remotely similar to what we’re used to seeing on people’s feet they aren’t going to cause much of a fuss – which is probably why these “pigeon shoes” by Japanese shoemaker Kyoto Ohata have the internet going crazy.
Whilst opinions are devoid on Ohata’s taste in shoes they do serve a purpose – whenever she walks along the pavement the pigeons often scatter out of fear. In order to not scare the pigeons she wears her handmade pigeon shoes and they seem to work. Awesome!
