For some people their hobbies and work life are kept separate, however when you do a job that you love and just so happen to be incredibly talented at it’s hard for the two not to merge together, as is the case of illustrator Brian Kesinger.
Illustrator at Walt Disney Animation Studios by day, in his free time Kesigner is also the author and illustrator of his own series called Walking Your Octopus in which the enchanting nature of Disney and the steampunk world combine to create the most unlikely of friendships.
The two main characters of the adventures are Victoria and her pet octopus Otto. Inspired by the idea that anybody can have a pet Kesigner asked himself “what if that pet were an octopus?” and the series was born. In his own humorous style the illustrator explores just what it would be like to be best friends with an octopus and the answer is damn right adorable.
