Croatian-based artist Ines Kuš has always felt the need to express herself, whether it’s through photography, drawing or fashion, but it wasn’t until she started getting creative with face paints that artist finally found something she loved and enjoyed.
Taking inspiration from her environment and the way she feels Kuš uses her own face and body as a canvas for her twisted and mind boggling illusions that either contort her face or make parts of it disappear all together in a process that can sometimes take up to 12 hours depending on the complexity of the illusion.
Kuš refers to what she does as “tied up/twisted illusion make up” and it’s easy to see why. Blending the neck, nose and lips area sometimes into one flawless work of art is often hard however Kuš takes this as a challenge – one that she clearly nails every time.
