He’s an Italian digital artist born in 1979, nominated twice as the top 200 Digital Artists worldwide by the Lurzer’s Archive. Lurzer’s Archive is a bi-monthly advertising magazine which features awesome campaigns, both in digital and ATL from all around the world.
So, Cristian is a pretty good digital artist. If you look the term up on Google, you don’t really get a proper definition. Digital art is defined as an artistic work made with digital technology. The term was coined in the 1970′ and it has been called a lot of names, from computer art to multimedia art or, later on, new media art.
So, Cristian Girotto is an artist whose main tool is not a physical brush, but rather a Photoshop rendered one. He began honing his skills before 2007 when he was working as a graphic designer in Turin. He then moved to Paris and started working a solely on Photoshop, doing creative retouches for the advertising industry. A lot o great artists find themselves stuck in the advertising industry, lately. Some of the best and most talented find the power to break free and create amazing art on their own, as well. It’s true that the advertising industry is getting more and more creative with each passing day, but there are also a lot of artistic limitations in this “habitat”.
